As a singing actor, I have to critically use my knowledge of vocal pedagogy, diction, movement, and vocal health every day. These tools were hard for me to come by. However, I believe this knowledge should be completely accessible to trans, non-binary, and gender-expansive populations. That’s why Freedom of Voice offers gender-affirming voice training throughout southern Minnesota and the Twin Cities.
My goal is to have you utilize me on a need-be basis until you have reached a point where speaking as your authentic self is natural. I will give you the tools and resources you need to practice authentically speaking as yourself, by yourself. My voice training will be:
1) Accessible. I’ll coach you in person or by video chat, day or night, within 48 hours’ scheduling.
2) Affordable. 30-minute sessions start at $30, with the option for payment plans and payment on a sliding scale*. I accept cash, checks, Venmo, and GooglePay. Credit card payments can be made through Acuity. Additionally, I have room for complimentary sessions for unemployed people.
3) Intersectional. I cater to every race, gender identity, orientation, country of origin, diagnosis, ability, body type, age, and financial status.
4) Mindful. I am not a Speech Language Pathologist—however, as a former victim advocate, I can empathize with how vulnerable someone needs to be in order to seek the help they deserve. That’s why if your needs are out of my expertise, I will help you find community resources to get you where you need to be.
